Police called to the home of former Jimmy Savile chauffeur David Smith have found him dead, according to Sky sources.
Mr Smith, 66, was the seventh person arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police's Operation Yewtree investigation in December.
He had pleaded not guilty in July to two counts of indecent assault and two of gross indecency on a child following his arrest.
Sky's Home Affairs Correspondent, Mark White said: "Police were called to an address in Effingham Road, Lewisham in London at 2.20pm today after David Smith was due to appear in court on sex offence charges.
"When police entered the property they found a man dead. They're not at this stage of confirming it is David Smith, but sources have told me they believe it was the 66-year-old former driver of Jimmy Savile and it appears at this stage it may well have been a suicide.
