A wind turbine that cost the Welsh government tens of thousands to build generates just ?5 of electricity a month because it?s been put in the wrong place.
At a cost of ?48,000, it will take a whopping 800 years before the turbine is cost effective.
The sustainable energy generator was put up at the government?s Aberystwyth office in 2009, according to BBC Wales.
But it was confirmed in a response to a Freedom Of Information request that between January 2012 and July this year the turbine had generated only 585 kilowatt hours of energy (kWh) ? averaging 33 kWh a month, at a market value of ?5.28.
