    Teen dad-of-one scammed on eBay after spending ?450 on XBox One and getting PHOTO of



    A dad-of-one who spent ?450 on an XBox One for his son's Christmas present was devastated after falling victim to an eBay scam where he got a PHOTO of the console instead.

    Peter Clatworthy, 19, thought he had landed a bargain when he purchased the much sought-after games console online on November 28.

    He spent a year saving up the cash in order to buy a limited edition version of the games system for four-year-old son McKenzie.

    But he was stunned when a grainy photograph of an XBox printed on A4 paper landed through his letterbox on Monday.

    To add insult to injury on the back of the picture, the callous seller wrote 'thank you for your purchase'.

    'I was shocked but then I thought, I only have myself to blame because it does say the word 'photo' on the ad.

    'I spoke to eBay straight away and asked for a refund, I e-mailed the seller and he told me it was a console - so he did lie to me.'

    A spokesman for eBay said: 'We don't allow listings which mislead, and will take action against this seller.'

          I realy feel sorry for the kis, honestly ebay and paypal are both dishonest company, if you had bought the item from alibaba or alex you have to test the item before escrow legal trusted agent will pay the owner, from my experience I once sold 2 items on ebay and the buyer paid full money to paypal and I did not get a penny ebay and paypal they are dishonest company and they even told me we have your money and you will not get it.

                          @SJ, try watching Forest Gump.

                          Got to admit, he does look a little lacking in the brains department.

                          I've seen others for new release phones. No grammar, all in capitals. Just one long sentence that goes on for a full screen. But in the last couple of lines it will have "phone not included. You are bidding on a plastic bag."
