    UKIP the peoples party...

A UKIP councillor has blamed the recent storms and heavy floods across Britain on the Government's decision to legalise gay marriage.
David Silvester said the Prime Minister had acted "arrogantly against the Gospel".
In a letter to his local paper he said he had warned David Cameron the legislation would result in "disaster".

Mr Silvester, from Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, defected from the Tories in protest at David Cameron's support for same-sex unions.
In the letter to the Henley Standard he wrote: "The scriptures make it abundantly clear that a Christian nation that abandons its faith and acts contrary to the Gospel (and in naked breach of a coronation oath) will be beset by natural disasters such as storms, disease, pestilence and war."
He added: "I wrote to David Cameron in April 2012 to warn him that disasters would accompany the passage of his same-sex marriage bill.
"But he went ahead despite a 600,000-signature petition by concerned Christians and more than half of his own parliamentary party saying that he should not do so."
He then went to on blame the Prime Minister for the bad weather:
"It is his fault that large swathes of the nation have been afflicted by storms and floods."
He went on to say that no man, however powerful "can mess with Almighty God with impunity and get away with it".

It's good to see that UKIP party members are so in touch with the people they represent, pretty much the same views as conservatives I'd say

Yes, he sure is, but not according to UKIP.

UKIP has suspended an Oxfordshire councillor after he blamed recent flooding on the government's decision to legalise gay marriage.
In a letter to his local paper, David Silvester said he had warned the PM the legislation would result in "disaster".
He said David Cameron had acted "arrogantly against the Gospel".
UKIP leader Nigel Farage said he was entitled to his "strong Baptist view of the world", but had defied a request not to do further media interviews.
Mr Farage said: "So we suspended him, quite rightly."

Who needs the Monster Raving Loony Party when we have Nigel's Nutters to keep us amused?
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

Another reason anyone who is that dedicated to some imaginary god's made up rantings shouldn't be allowed in a position of power. The fact he was in UKIP is just an excuse for some other party supporting newspaper to highlight it. It doesn't sound as good if they just said " some religious nutter quoted according to his religious beliefs."

religion can be like brainwashing and they believe what they say and nobody can change there minds ,
they only mix with like minded people and are unable to have other friends who do not believe like them.
They very lonely people .They are the same as brainwashed leftees who always think there beliefs are right and
any one who use common sense is wrong

Turns out he was quoting the same pish when he was a Conservative MP. Looks like the opposition are panicking and getting their mates in the papers to stir it up. You've got to love politicians.
