Labour have woken up at last and smelt the coffee. After years to relying on those less educated for votes and bribing the unemployed and unemployable they now realise that these people wont get them into power. The Conservatives and UKIP policies have been winning public support so to save their jobs, because lets face it they never really gave a sh@@ about the less well off anyway they are now turning on them.

Their latest policy which is great and would be one if the Conservatives had thought up they'd have savaged is to stop benefits to those without basic education standards in English and Maths unless they accept to undergo training.

Maybe now the brainwashed will admit all parties are as bad and self serving as each other and also wake up.

after now reading the three main parties proposals and the loony farage proposal for comedic purposes I do not think all three are as bad as each other, maybe being working class is my problem.

Kalipo I'm not saying what any party says is shi@@. I'm just highlighting that all parties are just after their own means. If they think it will be popular they will bring it in regardless of the outcome and if they're not in power they'll offer to bring something in they don't believe in until they gain power then conveniently not do what they said they would even if in the long run it would benefit the public.

Personally it gets on my tits hearing people moaning about how hard life is and then finding out they have had access to free education and training yet have no qualifications and in some cases are illiterate. No wonder a lot can't get jobs. They're unemployable. The educated ones that can't get jobs find they have to move to areas where the work is as major companies tend to set up in areas where they have a decent work pool.

My lad's misses volunteered to work in a food bank and hated the Conservatives big style as she blamed them for shafting the poor. I used to argue with her about how a lot of the so called poor shaft each other more than the Conservatives. Fast forward one month and doesn't help out as the majority turning up for food were smoking, some were pissed and as she knew some of them knew they spent most of the day in the pub and bookies. The food bank was a means to allow them to spend more of their benefits in the pub. The real ones needing the food weren't getting it.

Err hang on currantly i'm employed full time, but should i loose my job and end up been fat an unemployed, i struggle with maths and have recently turned back to "iShit Inglish" so where would that leave people who ARE have been educated, but struggle with numbers?

Did have some duffer in once "I'm 55 years old can't read or write, never went to skool" funny thing was he had a range rover that was 4 years old at the time

Most MP's are only MP's because they're useless at being anything else. Where else could you get a job doing very little, get unquestioned expenses, a nice easy pension, and a salary for turning up for 'work' not and again? Of course they'll say anything to stay in such a job, or even better get in power since it means getting even more money if you're on the cabinet.... and your head is made of the same material Easy life, ever heard of an unemployed MP?

I never did any exams when I was at school, I worked in IT which I had to give up due to health reasons and I am mostly self educated but this would mean I would get my benefit cut ? Let them try, I am sure that human rights would mean equal benefit for everyone and I wold show them just because someone didn't have exams does not mean they are as dumb as a MP.

There are many jobs out there where a employer would rather see past experience than someone who is paper smart, employers want someone who can do the job not who have been taught too do it but can not think for themselves. Back when I was at school computer training was next to non existent and I spent half my time showing the teachers better ways of doing things as thy read everything out of books !

How many of the great thinkers of the past been self educated ? More than you would think I bet
