Benefits Street vs UK Royal Family: Who are the Real Scroungers?

The launch of the Channel 4 programme Benefits Street has stoked growing dissent among a certain clutch of the British public over those on welfare.

However shouldn't our anger and attention be drawn towards the ultimate scroungers - the Royal Family?

While my colleague has already at length revealed the reasons why Benefits Street misrepresents UK welfare and unemployment, shouldn't growing or even misplaced anger be directed at those who automatically claim millions of pounds in funds for just existing and being born into a family that are deemed worthy of being looked after by the state?

While the left-wing press has written reams of copy on the public's hypocrisy - loathing those on welfare despite fawning over the ultimate royal cash-suckers - it is worth noting that at a time of austerity and the 'cost of living crisis' that Queen Elizabeth II and Co. are failing to justify their own state handouts.

Royalists have proverbially patted the Queen on the back for 'tightening' her belt and receiving 'only' ?31m (?38m, $51.4m) a year, from the ?73m she used to get in 1991.

Wouldn’t call them scroungers, I would say its not a hand over that’s her wages paid to run the countries currencies, the monarch can make lots on money by opening up Buckingham Palace to visitors 24/7 the monarch can boost other income with the vast of money they have invested.

Doesn't queenie own the entire country, she just gives us the right to think we own little bits of it - title deed to house etc?

Think he is post clocking.

The other week killed my PC ended up with Internet Exploer 6 and that was it, worked on DK, but millions of INFERIOR sites came up "not supported browser" or just opended then crashed, unviewable, but DK, being the worlds BEST website worked fine, but was not able to LEECH files.

Listen it's easy to distinguish between them. One lot get lots of money for doing nothing at all, sitting around on their rear ends and taking handouts from the state from birth to death for being nothing more than immigrants, and the other lot live in Winson Green. I'm sure that the lot living in Winson Green wouldn't mind swapping places with the other bunch for a while *shrug*
