Dave Lee Travis Not Guilty On 12 Charges

Former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has been found not guilty of 12 charges of indecent assault.

However the jury failed to return verdicts on one charge of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

Prosecutors must now decide whether to pursue a retrial on those two charges.

Travis showed no emotion when the verdicts were read out at London's Southwark Crown Court.

He had pleaded not guilty on all of the 14 counts, which date back to 1976 and stretch over a 30-year period.

Earlier, Judge Anthony Leonard said he would accept verdicts where at least 10 jurors agreed on each of the charges.

Quite surprised really, thought the jury might have taken his stern looks the wrong way unlike the nice smiling Bill Roach.

Not saying its right, but Slap and tickle in the 70's (as seen in 'on the buses' and 'Benny hill' for example) could easily be seen as indecent assault in the 2000's

I'm also a little surprised no rock stars have been arrested yet - with all those groupies hanging outside the dressing room..

If Jimmy Savile was alive he would have been found not guilty by the look of it all the money grabbers should have started claiming after the burial of all those in the menu!!!
