I was hoping to find the thread that was on here previously about MP's pay rise and how MP's shouldn't refuse the pay rise because an independent review body says that's what they should get - I can't find it yet... but I'm sure I will.
The Low Pay Commission has recommended a 3% increase in the minimum wage to ?6.50 an hour for adults, Business Secretary Vince Cable has told MPs. Mr Cable said it would be the first increase in real terms since 2008 if the government accepts the proposal.
BBC News - Minimum wage: The Low Pay Commission backs a 3% increase
That's decent of those who will be getting 11%
BBC News - MPs' 11% pay rise plan defended by salaries watchdog
let's see if they do the same for all pay review bodies, although 3% of next to ck all is nothing compare to 11% of the amount MP's are paid.... I'll also try find better quotes

Deputy Prime Minister and Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg said: "It would be incomprehensible to millions of taxpayers who pay the salary of MPs - and certainly incomprehensible to millions of people in the public sector whose pay has either been frozen or limited to an increase of 1% - that at this time MPs should receive such a dramatic increase in their pay."But he added that he did not "want to go back to the bad old days when MPs set their pay and rations, so Ipsa has got its job to do as an independent body".
