    ATOS Contact Ended

The firm Atos, which assesses whether benefit claimants in Britain are fit to work, is to finish its contract early, ministers have confirmed.
It follows government criticism over "significant quality failures".
Disabilities Minister Mike Penning said a new company would be appointed in early 2015, and Atos would not receive "a single penny of compensation".
Atos had been due to finish in August 2015. It said the settlement was "in the best interests of all parties".
It also said it would "work hard to support transition to a new provider", adding: "We will be transferring our infrastructure and employees to ensure consistency of service to those going through the process.
"There will be no change for those applying for Employment and Support Allowance."
Last month, Atos said it was seeking to end its government contract under which it carried out the Work Capability Assessments.

Disabilities Minister Mike Penning said a new company would be appointed in early 2015, and Atos would not receive "a single penny of compensation".
Watch that space.... and here it is

French IT services firm Atos has been awarded a multi-million pound contract to extract patient data from GP surgeries as part of the NHS's controversial Care.data scheme.
The company, which has come under fire for its handling of disability reassessments, will replace the service currently provided by the Quality Management and ****ysis System (QMAS).

It said the new systems are required to "provide the proposed NHS Commissioning Board with a more flexible service in order to deliver current and emerging outcomes data (and any related payments) for GP practices and Clinical Commissioning Groups; these include the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and the proposed Commissioning Outcomes Framework (COF)".

So sh*t at one contract you run from it for free, no penalty and as a punishment...... have another contract where you can make millions. Enough to make you since it's the public who are paying for this type of sh*t *shrug*

So the same people will be doing the same job, the same way, making the same mistakes. Why? Because it will still be ATOS, only running under a new name, doing the same things the government what.

If you had a cleaning firm & a contract on some council offices. Would you give your staff, infrastructure & working system to a 'new' cleaning company that has just been given your contract?!! What a pile of bull.

As far as the 'compensation' goes...
ATOS only wanted out because of all the negative public exposure they're getting. So change the name & continue as normal. Their reward is a new government contract. They don't need any compensation.

          On and off topic:-

wont mention which one, but a certain council, got a new computer system, but had nobody to run it, so they hit one of the PLASTERS WHICH HAD NO IDEA HOW TO WORK A COMPUTER, he cleared all outstanding jobs, then reissued them with new job number, he got thanks and rep points and several likes, for making the new computer 100% efficient.

            and here we go again......

Security firm G4S will be considered for government business again after it was barred from bidding for new contracts in a row about overcharging.
The company agreed to repay ?109m after an audit found it charged too much for providing electronic prisoner tags.
The Serious Fraud Office is examining G4S and Serco over the contracts.
But the Cabinet Office said G4S had taken "positive steps" to change its practices and engaged "constructively" with the government.
The firm has not bid for any government work since the Ministry of Justice started an investigation a year ago into its supply of electronic monitoring tags for prisoners in England and Wales since 2005.
After an audit by accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, it emerged that G4S - which insisted it had asked for the review itself - and Serco had overcharged the government by "tens of millions of pounds".

BBC News - Security firm G4S cleared for government contract bids

I bet tw@'s awarding these contracts would be more careful if they were personally liable for the decisions they make instead of teh taxpayer always footing the bill. Such firms must take their lead form MP's who make claims as well....... pile of sh*t

The departments responsible for awarding these contracts need investigating !!
G4S and Serco are under investigation by the Serious Crime Office for fraud and have both been proven unable to meet standards and been unable to fulfil governments contracts in the past. ATOS and Capita have both failed failed to meet standards and been unable to fulfil contracts in the past and yet all four companies are continuosly awarded Billions of Pounds worth of new government contracts.
If that doesn't sound iffy I don't know what does.
Capital have already fallen badly behind with the new PIP contract it was awarded that civil servants are now being drafted in to help them clear the backlog ! So, they are being paid by the government to do the contract and the government are doing part of the work for them !!!
              It is beyond belief.
