Hmm I always try steer clear of the NI thing, but it does appear now and again. The mother of 10 was dragged out of her house, tortured and then killed, hardly the act of a soldier at war - that'd be a criminal act anywhere and those that did it criminals.

As for illegal occupation of NI, well that's debatable since article 12 of the treaty which Ireland agreed to allowed the north to stay with the UK if the north made that choice, and it did. That's history and nothing can be done, but the only way you'll ever get a unified Ireland is by peaceful means and persuasion, which doesn't include threats of violence and murder - which after all those years should be obvious by now.
