    Bad choice eh?

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has said the selection of Jean Claude-Juncker as the next European Commission president marks a "bad day for Europe".

He said it was a "serious mistake" for EU leaders to give ground to the European Parliament after they backed Mr Juncker by 26 votes to two.
He suggested that it would make it harder to reform the EU and it had "raised the stakes" over the process.
Labour accused Mr Cameron of an "abject failure of leadership".
The UK and Hungary were the only two countries to oppose the former Luxembourg leader in an unprecedented vote on whether he should be nominated for the EU's top job.
Mr Juncker, who must be endorsed by the European Parliament before taking the role, was the preferred candidate of the European People's Party (EPP), which is the largest group in the European Parliament.

BBC News - Cameron says Juncker choice is 'bad day for Europe'

Got news for Dave - it's called cking democracy, if he doesn't like it maybe he should gtf out of politics. The people of Europe elected the MEP's so they in turn decide on the voters behalf who the president of the EU is. cking idiot for calling for a vote on it really, he looks like the tw@ of Europe right now. Perhaps he ought to pick his dummy up and put it back in his mouth.

That would have been up Dave's ar$e m8, where he talks out of it when he makes his usual "that is what the British people want" statement when in reality he and his party don't give a ck what the majority of the British people want or think, all they care about is what boosts their ego's and pockets (like most MP's). Happily he now has the egg on his face that he asked for and looks like a spoiled brat who couldn't get his own way. His face looks like a smacked ar$e of late, perhaps he should tell his mummy that those naughty MEP's had a vote and he lost, that's why he's taken his ball back

I thought it was Cameron that made them have a vote instead of just slotting the guy into the job and by voting against him exercised his democratic right. His reason being Junker is after taking more powers from the EU members. Even though he's a knob he was sticking up for the UK unlike Sleezy Milliband.

I never said I like Junker getting the job, don't even know him, don't care really. Was Dave really sticking up for the UK or was he just trying to act the part? He knew even before he asked for the vote that he was going to lose anyway *shrug*

Mr Cameron objected to the way Mr Juncker, a 59-year-old veteran of Brussels deal-making, was put forward. He was lead candidate of the centre-right European People's Party (EPP), which won last month's European elections.
The winning party does tend to make that choice. Just as the conservatives make their choice for their leader *shrug* Hard lesson for the Tories, democracy.

The only positive I can see out of this is the tax on cognac will come down and smoking in public buildings will be allowed...that's if you think they're positives ??

Looks like his intuition was wrong, just as it was with andy coulston.
Never mind he can just delete it from the Tory party online history just like it never happened.
