    Obama's Beard Advice For World Cup Hero



    Barack Obama has told US World Cup hero Tim Howard to shave off his beard to avoid adoring fans when the team arrive home.

    The President called the goalkeeper and captain Clint Dempsey the day after their heartbreaking exit from Brazil at the hands of Belgium.

    "You guys did us proud," Mr Obama said in a video released by the White House.

    "To see the way you guys captured the hearts and the imaginations of the whole country is unbelievable."

    And he had some advice for the Everton keeper, who pulled off a record 16 saves in the match, capturing the imagination of millions of fans around the world.

    "Tim, I think I don't know how you are going to survive the mobs when you come back home man. You are going to have to shave your beard so they don't know who you are."
