    Blair wants boots on the ground in Iraq - again



    Tony Blair is calling for ?boots on the ground? in the fight against an enemy he judges to be a threat to western security in Iraq. It sounds familiar - but this time the former prime minister might have a point.

    One thing is for certain: Blair is incorrigible. He used his evidence sessions at the Iraq inquiry to call for the west to go in all guns blazing against Syria. He has consistently argued that the best way to confront radical Islam is to batter it into submission through force.

    Now, seven years after leaving Downing Street, he thinks he has a right to be listened to as he outlines a fresh case for sending western soldiers into the Middle East.

                              Have to ask the difference between any of the party, so called, leaders tbh. Yes you had Blair in Iraq, you've got Dave dying to send people, though not himself or his chums, into Syria to die. It's all to make a name for themselves in the hope of re-election. There's only one name for them that can be used and that's tw@

                              Oh yeah as for Syria, didn't we do a good job helping the rebels there against Assad eh.... must pat ourselves on the back for that one, not.

                                  It gets to the stage when I just cant remember whos funded (or funding)who to fight who,just go in,kill the lot and on the way back concrete over the gaza strip and turn it into a car park...

                                      Why not it has a nice secureity wall around it already and I dare say cctv cameras. Now if only the cameras did anpr I'm sure DVLA and the police would like the idea, after all we have our own car parks that size called the M62, M1, M25, M60, M4 and M40...
