    'This is how we killed them'

    Chilling moment two Burmese barmen showed how they beat British pair to death on Thai beach after confessing to rape and murder following DNA match .



    Two Burmese men who Thai police say have confessed to brutally murdering two British backpackers have taken part in a 'reenactment' exercise explaining how they carried out the killings.

    Displaying little emotion as they stood on the Koh Tao beach where Hannah Witheridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, were found bludgeoned to death on September 15, the men were seen giving officers detailed information of their movements while actors replayed the events.



    This morning the two men - who have been identified only by the names 'Win' and 'Saw' - were presented to the media at a news conference on the tourist island after it was revealed their DNA matches samples collected from the victims' bodies.

    Following the return of the positive DNA results, Colonel Kissana Phathanacharoen of the Royal Thai Police said the two alleged confessors are now likely to be formally arrested 'very soon'

    Autopsies carried out by Thai authorities showed that Miss Witheridge died from head wounds after being raped, while Mr Miller suffered severe blows to the head and drowned in the surf.

      Our condolences to the family.
      I have always kept clear from going to Burma, those Burmese men have no heart, they have killed thousands of Muslim man women and children, and even the holidaymakers are not safe, country is still run by the Junta Chief no security for any one.

          I'm not sure what being muslim has to do with it??

          If they killed muslims it wouldn't be in the news..

          It's a big risk going to asia imho. but RIP..

                      PARTLY ON TOPIC:-

                      Word on the street is the most advanced technology in Thailand is 'safty matches', closely followed by 'self raising flour'.

                      So for them to say within 2 days, match/ no match on DNA evidence, from the woman, who looking at the re enactment was in water, thats a good bit of work.

                      Then you look at Jermany Kyle etc etc, DNA paternaty tests tak 'weeks' for the result?
                      Remember with Jermany Kyle, the sample of DNA is ;as much as they want' yet on this case was 'limited info'.

                      The reactment is a good idea, so if there is any discrepancses in the 'story' they know if there the right people, eg the position of the bodyies.
