    So what's left?

I'm just wondering which of the Tory pre election promises are left?

No frontline cuts to emergency services - Since then, 5,870 NHS nurses, 7,968 hospital beds, a third of ambulance stations, 5,362 firefighters and 6,800 frontline police officers have been cut
No plans to raise VAT - went up to 20% within minutes of being elected
No means test to child benefit - that lasted seconds and it was means tested
No more top down reorganisations - NHS ring any bells?
Bank bonuses unacceptable - Not only did he fail to keep his pledge to ban bonuses at state-owned banks, he is now taking legal action against the EU commission over its plan to cap payments.
UK debt - doubled instead of paid off
Cut immigration - still very much higher than the failed promises

Wondering how much more they can fail to deliver. Though I'm sure they'll blame the Lib Dems...
My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.

No British troops will be sent to fight in Iraq, David Cameron promised today – despite his earlier ringing warning that the spread of Sunni extremism in the war torn country poses a direct threat to the UK.
      From August this year.

Iraq crisis: British troops will not set foot on Iraqi soil, David Cameron insists - Middle East - World - The Independent

"Britain is not going to get involved in another war in Iraq. We are not going to be putting boots on the ground. We are not going to be sending in the British Army."

      and from today

Hundreds of British troops will be sent to Iraq in the New Year, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has said.
The deployment - to help train local forces - will be in the "very low hundreds" but could also include a small protection force of combat-ready soldiers, he said.

About 50 UK troops are already training Iraqi and Kurdish forces fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq.
The Ministry of Defence said the move had not yet been formally approved. An MoD spokesman said: "No decisions on troop numbers, units or locations have yet been made".

A man of his word eh? Easy to give you "word" and make "promises" when it's not you going there eh...

                  Ffs yet AGAIN.

During the summer we had Arnold and "look at me, how good I am" declaring tthe first
steps towards a new place for the Wombles, over ground something shite.

Anyway in the next street is a road, that's going to get its own version of the Berlin Wall, but that will stop the Wombles, nice one Arnold.

                          There's always more

The UK economy has grown more slowly in the past year than previously thought, official figures indicate.
Revised figures show gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of this year was 2.6% higher than in the same period in 2013, down from an earlier estimate of 3%.
Also, the UK's current account deficit widened in the third quarter to ?27bn.
That put the difference between the country's export and import of goods and services at a record 6% of GDP.
David Kern, chief economist at the British Chambers of Commerce, said: "The stark revision in annual growth confirms that the pace of recovery is slowing."

"The most concerning aspect of these figures is that the current deficit has risen to an unsustainably high level."

BBC News - UK economic growth revised down

you mean the cuts that have been carried out to reduce the deficit for the last 4 years haven't balanced the books as promised by the LibCon? The deficit has grown? surely not, George, Dave and Nicky are such nice fellows and can't be wrong Wonder which of their mates companies made the most money out of the cuts. I'd guess banks and private healthcare providers cherry picking easy work for loadsa money.

The scary thing is Labour (aka the borrowers) will get in next year and then the economy will be right up the creek. David Cameron thought he played a blinder by making mugs out of the less educated Labour party and their followers by getting them to be the mouth piece for the Better Together crowd. The even got their big guns on live TV promising the Scottish the next best thing to Federalism if we stayed together. Now that the vote is over we're getting what the Yes voters knew all along. Token powers. The people have turned against labour meaning they will get hammered in Scotland during the next election wiping out their power base that they sent to Westminster. Cameron will then implement English votes for English matters through Westminster depriving Labour of any power. Cameron was laughing at the SNP and Labour but he's going to get a shock. The SNP will clean up in Scotland and currently it is there policy to not vote on English matters, who'd have thought a political party with standards? Here's the good bit. The SNP will form a coalition with Labour to get Labour into power and will start voting on English matters where Labour want, in return for the missing powers we were promised. The English will get well pissed off and push for Independance from Scotland and we'll get it after all. Clever or what? Before anyone starts on about the oil price remember it's plummeted under Westminsters stewardship. The SNP have been fighting for years to implement tax allowances for the North Sea to ensure it's viable. Westminster won't do it as their mates are buying up the fracking licences and they want the Scottish economy to look poor and keep us in line.

I can't agree with everything you write, otherwise I'd "not be me", but the basic thread does seem logical, so will have to agree with you I'm just keeping this thread alive with all the broken promises that the Tories (and Libs) have made so far. Nothing they promised has come to fruition and everything they do is cked up. even this

US President Barack Obama has praised the broad agreement reached in Northern Ireland cross-party talks.
The talks on welfare, the past, flags and parades involved the British and Irish governments and lasted 12 weeks.
Stormont will get ?2bn in extra spending power from the UK government.

BBC News - Stormont House Agreement: Obama praises NI talks breakthrough

That only happened after Dave left and said he wouldn't be going back. I also bet that the ?2 billion will be made up of money that has already been given over the last few years, so in reality ?0. What's that say about him eh?

If Britain is cked up now it soon will be if they get in again *shrug*

Oh yeah, forgot to add, I think the whole credit crunch bollox was engineered to remove money from the masses and so make us all poor while those with money got more.... but that's another story
