    Woman Claims She Owns The Sun, Tries To Sell Land On It, Fails



    A woman has been trying to flog plots of land on the sun, claiming that she owns it.

    Spaniard Maria Angeles Duran has tried to make her fortune by selling parts of the sun to prospective buyers.

    She had previously declared that the sun was hers in 2010, with courts in Spain even recognising that as a fact.

    Maria used a loophole in the ?Outer Space Treaty? that says no country on the planet has a right to claim sovereignty over celestial bodies - but says nothing about individuals.

    So Maria has been trying her luck again by posting up ads on eBay to sell the ?land? off to the highest bidder.

    Sadly for her, she failed.

    The auction website blocked her bid for fortune, putting an end to the one Euro (73p) per square metre sale.

    Bizarrely, Spanish courts have once again sided with Maria and told her she can take eBay to court for stopping the auction.

    Maria says she had nearly ?900 worth of orders before eBay took down her posting and she is now seeking 10,000 Euros (?7,357) in compensation.

      Hello, is that the court? Yes that Spanish woman, let her sell the sun in its, but she MUST take buyers one at a time to the EXCACT spot that's for sale.

                                      Why would you even want to buy a piece of the sun? it's not like you can go there, i mean i guess you can claim rights and charge people using solar chargers, but common, really people?
