Just like to say before any xenophobic or islamaphobic remarks are blurted out, I too agree that people coming from abroad as asylum seekers should just stay in France instead of coming to the UK where they'll get everything for free. At least with legal immigrants, they pay taxes, find jobs etc... My dad was from Pakistan, paid a heck of a lot of money to get back here,get a british passport etc... and you can imagine how much they would have had to pay seeing as though the currency rate(for them) is so bad even now! he works,pays taxes etc... although it be low paid but unfortunately could not really finish his studies in Pakistan. Myself Im seriously looking for a job(and going out and actually searching) but my age group is worst hit by recession and I lost my USB stick without backing anything on it(It contained my CV, damn it!) Also, just because people are Muslim doesnt have to mean anything. Some people I know(Not Muslim) are anti-Semitic and I dont find it funny at all when people are making fun out of any religion

French politician accused of bringing illegal migrants to Britain

A French politician has been arrested and charged with smuggling illegal migrants into Britain.

Christiane Chocat, 51, a councillor from near Paris, and her son Benjamin, 20, are accused of bringing 13 Vietnamese men and three women into Portsmouth.

The migrants were found among shrimp noodles in a van on a ferry, which was raided by the UK Border Agency on October 1. The Chocats appeared at Portsmouth magistrates court last Saturday and were remanded in custody.

The polish dont "get all the jobs" they are the people doing the manual labour of this country and even those with some sort of an education who can speak some english will work at minimum wage and will be happy with min wage. If I was an employer and a polish person demanded a higher wage than a British person(unlikely though ) with the same ish experience, qualifications etc... Id hire the British person if they would work for cheaper simples

And there lies the problem . They work for lower wages, send the money home which turns out to be a small fortune in Poland. They can afford to work for minimum wage, some people here cant.

Well tbh here they are living basically a simple life(not luxurious or anything) and most are legally on benefits etc... anyone can actually live on the minimum wage, its just that you dont have the money to buy expensive luxuries etc... Also larger economies sometimes want smaller economies to grow(like China) for trade reasons

The person living next to me is a british man no kids etc...disabled and is living on nothing except benefits. Oh yeah and he has a wife. They just can not afford luxury items. It is possible to survive on minimum wage, seeing as though benefits are less than the min wage
