A Texas man was stranded in a tree Friday after his car was washed away by flood water. Kerry Packer captured video of his car being carried
along in the flooding. He was able to climb a tree and EMS confirmed to KVUE at 2:40 p.m. Friday he is down from the tree and is fine. He had
been in the tree since shortly after 9 a.m.
His wife, Cecelia Packer, shared the video with KVUE and said she has been in contact with authorities.
Austin is experiencing historic flooding. Onion Creek reached the 25 foot level and was threatening roads, homes and bridges.KVUE spoke to Kerryafter Cecelia contacted the station via Facebook. Both had called 911 before talking to KVUE. The full interview is at the top of the story.
