Stanley Kubrick Estate Rubbishes ?Confession? Video About Faking The Moon Landings

The late, great Stanley Kubrick was long noted not only as one of the great American directors, but also as one of the great enigmatic recluses of cinema.

It?s perhaps at least in part down to this that a number of bizarre conspiracy theories exist involving Kubrick - perhaps the most enduring being that the 1969 moon landing never actually happened, and the ?2001: A Space Odyssey? director was hired by the US government to film bogus footage of the event.

Unsurprisingly, this claim has long since been dismissed by both NASA and those associated with Kubrick - but this hasn?t stopped the idea from remaining popular.

Now, a pseudo-documentary has emerged purporting to feature a videotaped confession from Kubrick, shortly before his death in 1999, admitting that he did indeed fake the moon landings.

And, even less surprisingly, those in the know have dismissed this as 100% untrue as well.
Gawker found the film, entitled ?Shooting Stanley Kubrick? - which they describe as ?an absolute marvel of grating, unwatchable cinema? - from a filmmaker named T Patrick Murray. (Watch it on Vimeo if you?re so in~~~~~d.)

It features a man claimed to be Kubrick telling his interviewer, ?I perpetrated a huge fraud on the American public, which I am now about to detail, involving the United States government and NASA, that the moon landings were faked, that the moon landings ALL were faked , and that I was the person who filmed it.

?I?m serious. Dead serious. Yes, it was fake.?

I used to work as an Insurance Agent (the title became Financial Consultant prior to when I left, and I used to annoy some of the new boys by telling them we were still Insurance Agents).
Anyway, Stanley Kubrick was one of my clients................it was only a couple of small policies and I used to visit him a couple of times a year to collect the premiums and usually have a little natter. He lived in a small private village just outside St Albans and other than the fact he lived in this small community, he was a pleasant and affable man, so I can only assume the "enigmatic recluse" persona was for the media and press.
I can certainly say that the subject of the moon landing never ever came up, nor would I have expected it to do, but from my brief encounters with the man I could not imagine him having done such a scam without announcing about the public having been completely misled.
    That's my two pence worth.

Mythbusters proved America landed on the moon. I think it was in New Mexico where they shot a lazer beam at the moon and a reflector was left by the astronauts returned the beam.

yep seen prog other day, they was measuring the distance to the moon with a laser, apparently its getting closer all the time, only by small amounts tho, but there must be something left on the moon to reflect it back.
