Ken Livingstone offers 'free meal' anyone who can prove him wrong over Hitler comment

The former London mayor sparked huge controversy last month after claiming that Hitler had supported Zionism "before he went mad".

Mr Livingstone?s comments plunged Labour into a crisis and led to his long-time friend and ally Jeremy Corbyn suspending him from the party.

But speaking on talkRADIO, Mr Livingstone, who has been widely condemned for his remarks, continued to insist there is no evidence his comments were anti-Semitic.

He said: "There?s this interesting accusation I?m anti-Semitic. Not a single newspaper, or radio, or TV programme has produced any evidence in the last two weeks that what I said was wrong.

"I?ll offer a free meal out for anyone who can prove what I said was wrong.

"I was asked a question about Hitler's policies and I dealt with it in about 40 words and moved on. And then all these embittered old Blairite MPs, who hate me, ranted about me being a Nazi apologist and so on.

Simple answer, and I've written it on here before. Mandatory jail term of 5 years each time you're elected as an MP. Al least then we'll know where the crooked tw@'s are, and they get free board ad lodge. Rebuild Westminster Palace as a prison.
