Tractor Driver Fined ?190 For Causing Queue Of FIFTY Cars Behind Him

A tractor driver has been fined ?190 for driving at 25mph on a main road and causing a tailback of 50 cars behind him.

Farm worker Jake Fear, 20, pleaded guilty to driving without reasonable consideration for other road users.

Fear, from Highbridge, Somerset, drove his tractor along the A39 near Glastonbury for three miles, causing the queue.

His vehicle was pulling a trailer of beets when it was ordered to stop by police.

Fear said he had already pulled over twice during his journey on November 9 last year to let cars overtake and that he didn?t know about the tailback because a lorry was blocking his rear view.

He said: ?I think it is all a bit silly. At the end of the day I was just doing my job.

what a load of shoite, tractors are restricted to 25 mph unless its a fast track which is 40 mph, he had pulled over twice to let traffic by, this imo is showing curtesy to others road users, nothing has been said wether he could pull over safely, the coppers want a boloking imo, jebus and only on the road 3 miles ffs sounds like some tw@t in a car behind him had complained.

If he would have put up the sign slow Moving Vehicle Warning Sign such as Tractor or Heavy Trucks & Equipment or Animal Powered Vehicles & Carriages the Old Bill can not charge for any slow moving vehicle.
