Ordinary people should not be allowed to carry firearms, so lets talk about why he was carrying a gun, this man had firearms certificate issued by the police, you must also have a certificate to buy ammunition, so why police is giving evidence saying they were carrying firearms when there is no restriction for any person carrying firearms having licence?
The politician has to bring law to stop ordinary people carrying guns.

The arms retail business in the US is huge, it's not a small operation with a few pounds to be made, it's worth billions. There is no way they're going to stop selling guns to anyone who wants one, that'd be like the UK stopping the sale of alcohol to anyone at all, no way no how. As for how easy it is to buy them; while I was there I went to a few Sunday markets and yes there were plenty of guns to buy from market traders. Back then even Walmart sold them, and still do.
