Job loss woman takes Avon title

A Sunderland woman made redundant from her job at a printing factory has been crowned Britain's top Avon lady.
Debbie Davis, who was struggling to pay her rent when she found herself out of work five years ago, is now earning ?250,000 a year.
The 29-year-old once single-handedly sold ?18,800 of goods in three weeks and now heads a team of 2,500 sales staff along with partner Dave Carter.
So far, they have earned ?7m for the cosmetics company.
The couple were given a Mercedes SLK and a BMW X3 after becoming the firm's top sellers.
Miss Davis said: "I never thought at the age of 29 I would be able to say I was running my own lucrative business with my partner."
Now a senior executive sales leader, she still has her own round and continues to see her regular customers.
She added: "Now I've seen what I'm capable of, I'm determined to keep pushing the boundaries in order to grow my business further."
Miss Davis has joined forces with Dragons' Den entrepreneur Julie Meyer to host an online business masterclass.

That's nice. Just goes to show you what people can and do achieve when they say "sod it" and just go for it as opposed to bemoaning their luck about their job and/or life and do something about it regardless of what people think. Guaranteed if this woman after being laid off had said in 5 years I'll have sold over ?7 million worth of goods for Avon and be doing really well for herself the people around her would have laughed at her and said it's a pipe dream and she'd no chance of achieving that....
