Congress approves bill to allow 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia

The House has approved a bipartisan bill that would allow families of September 11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia.

The measure was approved by voice vote on Friday.

Passage of the legislation puts Congress on a collision course with Barack Obama on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the attacks.

The Senate passed the bill in May by voice vote despite vehement objections from Saudi Arabia, a key US ally in the Middle East.

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers from 9/11 were Saudi nationals.

The White House has signaled that Obama would veto the legislation over concerns about exposing Americans overseas to legal risks.

The Obama administration cautions that if US citizens can take the Saudis to court, then a foreign country could in turn sue the United States.

Better off suing the estates of the hijackers. Never known a country to be sued. When do we start suing the US for supplying arms to those who bombed us in the 1970's? Do we also start suing the German government for the 2 wars, and the Japanese. Do we sue the French for 1066, the Danes and Romans for their invasions before that? Stupid, stupid idea.

This is another ploy by the Americans to steal $Billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia, as Country, did not & was not involved in 9/11. Just because some of the people involved in 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia does not mean that the County is involved.

Look how much money & oil the USA has stolen from Iraq, we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars. All the top officials, including George W. Bush have become multi millionaires from that war...
and the Country itself is still in ruins, no clean water, no gas, no food, no schools, no hospitals, no medicine, no roads and so on and on and on.
UK should ask for Americas help in suing the Irish, look how many bombs they off in the UK & how many people they killed & maimed when the IRA were active.
I swear this is true, I have a Iraqi guy who works for me, he just came back from Iraq after 8 weeks & from what he has seen with his own eyes, he said "Iraq was better off under Saddam".
