Hadron Collider Shut Down by a Baguette in the Electronics

The trouble-plagued Hadron collider had to be taken offline for several days due to temperatures that were higher than they should have been. Eventually the problem was traced to a baguette in a cryogenic cooling unit's electrical system.

According to a European Organization for Nuclear Research spokeswoman it is unclear how the crusty French bread ended up in an electrical system in a secured area.

"The best guess is that it was dropped by a bird, either that or it was thrown out of a passing airplane. Obviously this was slightly surprising. Within the team there was some amusement once they had relaxed after initial concerns," she said.

WHERE THE HELL IS MY HIGGS BOSON???????

Time and Time again the project seems to be delayed, the chances of a bird or passenger dropping a baguette into the unit is verging on the rediculous. Seems to me that sabotage is afoot.

People just need to lock the place down and shoot anything in the vacinity or airspace of geneva, i mean the energies involved are insane, Plutonium 239 (weapons grade plutonium) released 200 odd MeV (mega electron volts) of energy and everyones seen a nuclear explosions effects.

The particles whizzing around the collider are banging into each other at between 500 to 600TeV (tera electron volts) 3000 as strong as the energy from Pu 239... if some jackass allows a bead of sweat to drop in the wrong place let alone some idiot with a baguette it all goes horrificaly wrong.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
