UK weather: Hottest February day in 160 years predicted with temperatures of 18?C

UK weather: Hottest February day in 160 years predicted with temperatures of 18?C as set to be hotter than Egypt.

It won't have been this warm on February 20 since 1857 when Queen Victoria sat on the throne - and the invention of the car was still three decades away

Britain is set for the hottest February 20th in 160 years on Monday - with temperatures of 18?C forecast.

A giant plume of warm air from Jamaica has been blown 5,000 miles in the direction of the UK and is set to make the country warmer than Egypt and most of the Mediterranean.

Conditions are described as set to be "exceptional".

It won't have been this warm on February 20 since 1857 when Queen Victoria sat on the throne - and the invention of the car was still three decades away.

Weathermen are even predicting a rush to beaches and parks while ice cream sellers consider opening - all unthinkable for a winter's day.

Many people will want to make the most of it ? as 80mph storms and snow are forecast to follow.

Thermometers will peak in southern and eastern England - while highs could peak at 17C in eastern Scotland, the Met Office said.

The rise could make parts of the UK among the hottest locations in Europe, following bouts of snow and freezing temperatures that took hold on the continent earlier this month.

Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: "The average maximums in the north are 6C or 7C for this time of year, but we are looking at 15C or 16C in a few spots."

Monday's highs ease to 14C on Tuesday ? when the Met Office forecast days of 55mph gales beginning in Scotland

It won't have been this warm on February 20 since 1857 when Queen Victoria sat on the throne - and the invention of the car was still three decades away

So cars are causing global warming, all good news. I'll ask Donald what he thiks of teh fake news about man made climate change

Shame we only get the good weather on work days, it's as if there's a plot to stop good weather when people aren't at work.

Come on Leo get a grip your behind the times were going to have storms, cold and wet weather you know ,,,,according to the xperts?
Donald must of been breathing the fumes from the police cars in Stockholm that is the normal happy peace weill integrated residences that are so happy and joyous they torch a few cars most weekends.

"As we reported last night, just days after the media mocked Trump for his allegations of major problems with Swedish migrant policies, the president was vindicated after a violent riot broke out in the borough of Rinkeby, also known as "little Mogadishu." Now that the incident is over, in their "post-mortem" Swedish officials confirm that riots erupted in the "heavily immigrant Stockholm suburb" Monday night, as masked looters set cars ablaze and threw rocks at cops, injuring one police officer, Swedish officials said."

I suppose they nickname it little mogadishu because of the sunny climate?
You must be reading the fake news by mistake

Typical, good weather at the start of the week when you're at work and just when you pass midweek onto the slope towards the weekend the sh*t weather turns up. Had this been last year we'd have had Boris and the like telling us the weather was due to the EU and that if we vote to leave the weather would be nice all year round.

It was a warm storm though. I've had to turn the central heating off, even though one of our fences is down.

So on the downside you have a fence down, on the upside you have something to burn to keep warm now, though you'll have to save it for a cold day
