When the world was young [and so was I] I remember going to T-Mobile in Stockport.......
I asked could I make a call to try the system and they said the 'phone wouldn't work in the shop --I'd have to go and stand in the middle of the forecourt to get a signal !!
Absolute rubbish..... went to VodaPhone instead...[AND NOW THE STORY REALLY STARTS] -- when the Contract finished I got a 'phone call from T-Mobile [on my Voda Mobile number] asking if I'd like to change over to them.............
So VodaPhone were "selling" details as well -- so todays admittance from T-Mobile is nothing new
Is ANY data secure in this Country

Probably not, I remember a news story a couple of years ago how government documents containing peoples private details were found by the road side and thankfully picked up by the right person who turned the documents back into the system!
Considering we have the data protection act and all sorts of privacy rules and regulations, there's a hell of a lot of dodgy dealings going on under the table that we don't know about. That goes for just about everything though, because that's the way the world really is - it's just like people, behind closed doors it can be a very different story to what's publicly seen and known.Comment

This data protection act is a joke I get calls asking to speak to my son and I normally say whose is asking they say cant say untill they know who they are speaking to, to which I usually answer cant say if his in data protection act and put phone down .After a while they ring back and we go though it all again normally they get feed up and tell me who they are and then I normally tell them his not at home unless I think its important
sorry gone off subjectComment

Stupid isn't it, they ring you to get through to someone else, and they jerk you around by not giving you the common courtesy of at least telling you who they are - talk about being awkward!
