Cops discover tiny pinhole camera hidden on London cash machines

Cops discover tiny pinhole camera hidden on London cash machines by fraudsters to record customers? bank numbers.

Can you spot it? Police have warned shoppers to be on their guard when using cash machines

Police have warned people to cover the keypad as they enter their PIN at cash machines

TINY pin-~~~~~ holes next to cash machines have been exposed as the latest way fraudsters are trying to steal money from unsuspecting shoppers.

Police are now warning people to be on their guard after small cameras were found secreted in cash machines, including two at St Paul?s Churchyard found just weeks apart in central London.

Sharing photographs of the hidden cameras on social media, City Police said: ?Fraudster?s camera bar recovered from an #ATM near @StPaulsLondon. Please remember to cover your pin when using a cash machine?.

They hammered home just how hard the small device could be to see, urging people to try to spot the small holes.

Just a week before the two cameras were discovered a member of the public found another device at a cashpoint a few streets away in Fetter Lane, with the person having to remove it to get their card back from the machine.

Other areas have been hit by the sneaky tactic employed by fraudsters, with Lancashire police also warning that "skimming devices" had been found on machines around the towns of Preston, Leyland and Bamber Bridge.

Police have advised people to check cash machines for any loose parts, including the card slot and keypad.

If you spot a suspicious device when using a cash point, report it to the bank concerned immediately, and notify police. If you think a crime is in progress when you discover the device, call 999.

SJ won't go near B&Q, too much tornado activity

I always try pull the machine apart before I use one. One day the police will turn up and ask me why I'm trying to damage it, I'm sure
