    Martin McGuinness dies aged 66



    Former Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland Martin McGuinness has died at the age of 66.

    He died early this morning at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry with family members at his bedside following a short illness.

    Mr McGuinness was a member of the IRA Army Council before becoming Sinn F?in's chief negotiator in the Nothern Ireland peace process.
