COLDER THAN RUSSIAN ARCTIC UK weather sees Britain face THREE-WEEK freeze and polar winds as temps plunge to -7C tonight

BRITS should prepare for a three-week freeze as polar winds and snow hit to make the UK colder than the Russian arctic - with temperatures plummeting to -7C tonight.

England saw its first snow today as a chilly wind swept through the UK - signalling winter has arrived.

The plunging temperatures mean Britain will be much colder than Iceland, where the mercury should hover around 1C today.

I think in Arctic region of Russia -7C is considered a heatwave!
Perfectly legal as I have said here before to leave car outside with engine running CHARGING BATTERY whilst in house having a nice warm cuppa so no need to drive with obscured windscreen - just need good anti theft scheme ...over to Meaty on this last point

It's The Sun comic, it means a snowflake will fall in London and the country will be closed until it's tracked down and melted.

Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.

That's because they prepare for winter and expect it. Here they take your money, spend it on sh*t that's nothing to do with winter and then run out of grit the second it snows. It's cheaper to not grit/plough the roads, after all it's the drivers insurance company, and so the driver, that will pay instead. Much cheaper option, for the councils and highways agency anyway.

If a snowflake falls anywhere within a 100 miles of a council depot then I expect it will be too dangerous for the drivers to go out and grit the road until its thawed out!
they will probably grit the roads in July

Week one almost gone and the Joks haven't even put t-shirts on and the sunglasses away yet. Perhaps the Sun comic was published for northern Canada?

and just so you know, it's -18 in Siberia today

The Comic wrong, and over exaggerating surely not

Perhaps -6C they meant the temperature inside the Siberian news room with the heating on full blast.
Of course silly me they don't have a Siberian news room its only false news that come from Russia

and still no Siberian weather kicking around. Was it the Don Trump version of the comic, full of shit and talks out of it's rear end while actually saying nothing useful to anyone at all?
