20,000 STATE SNOOPERS WHO CAN WALK INTO YOUR HOMES

Officials can have the right to turn up at your front door and be allowed to enter

LABOUR has allowed the creation of a massive army of state snoopers who can enter anyone?s home at a moment?s notice, it was revealed yesterday.

Thanks to ?powers of entry? *legislation set out by the Home Office, an average of 47 officials within every local authority have the right to enter law-abiding households *without *consent, without a *warrant or even a police escort.
An estimated 20,000 officials can intrude on families to check if a range of petty regulations are being followed, including whether pot plants have pests, if fridges meet energy regulations or if hedges are too high.
Campaigners Big Brother Watch warn that the law undermines the right of privacy of every citizen.
It argues that giving the right to thousands of council officers to enter private properties without the checks and balances provided by a court *warrant makes the likelihood of abuse ?inevitable?.
Research by the group found that nationwide there were at least 14,793 official snoopers, who are often untraceable on the council?s website and may be unvetted and poorly trained for the task of entering private properties.
Northamptonshire County Council has the highest number of snoopers, with 499 officers, followed by Glasgow City Council with 483 and Conwy County Borough Council with 361.
Manchester City Council, Sheffield City Council and Sunderland City Council were among the authorities that refused to supply information to the Big Brother Watch group, making the true figure on the number of snoopers as high as 20,000 nationwide.
The campaigners also highlight that the citizen has little or no protection if officials coming knocking on the door employing the power of entry legislation. There is also little recourse if the council behaves rudely or abuses its position.

Dylan Sharpe, a spokesman for Big Brother Watch, said that there are more than 1,000 laws that allow *officers the right to snoop.
It makes it difficult for homeowners to understand their rights but also means that a local authority officer could gain entry under the guise of any one of the laws.
Alex Deane, director of Big Brother Watch, said: ?Once a man?s home was his castle. Today the Big Brother state wants to inspect, regulate and standardise the inside of our homes.?
Liberal Democrat MP Chris Huhne said a key priority for his party after the next election would be a *Freedom Bill that would ?roll back the intrusions into our hard-won liberties introduced by this meddlesome *Government.?
A Government spokesperson said: ?It?s vital that we strike the right balance between privacy and security and that is why the Government is clear these powers should only be used when they are necessary and proportionate.
?Power of entry should exist only where strict criteria are met.?

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

The only thing winning the war achieved was the right to speak languages other than German.

People can come into my home whenever they like, Answering the door whilst adorned in a S10 gas mask and full body condom with the hall covered in talc mixed with mustard, seems to be a serious turn off though

This has several potential benifits, it looks like your knee deep in anthrax but you can pass it off in court as being a kinky bastard with a serious rubber fetish and get off scott free

In my wee part of the UK (Ie Northern Ireland )
They might likey get two barrels through the letter box !!
Then if the police (if they can spare some) are required they need to have an army escort !!
So before long you would say there could be at least 100 men on the job & at least two choppers & bullet proof cars & ammour plated landrovers !!
No its not Iraq !! Just South Armagh !! as good as though as there are many oil Shieks here as in Iraq !!
By the time they get out all is gone anyway !!
Moral of this is it costs more to sort us out so they find easier & cheaper pickings on the mainland !!
                      Could always move here !!
