A SEX scientist is working to find out how to give women the perfect orgasm.
Dr Barry Komisaruk is the world?s leading expert on the effect the ? Big O? has on women?s brains. The lucky 68-year-old has hordes of women volunteering to pleasure themselves in front of him.
But he says he is only interested in their ?surging hormones, bonding eptides and synapsing neurons?.
Dr Komisaruk, from Rutgers Unversity in New Jersey, also believes his research will help with pain relief medication.
He said: ?I?m interested in the link between pleasure and pain, which is marginal in terms of what happens in the brain.
?The orgasm activates the same part of the brain as pain ? I want to find out what makes something feel good.?
Dr Komisaruk said he is also working on restoring sexual feelings to people who are paralysed.
This is because his research includes women who can climax just through thought, without actually being touched.
The study aims to allow people who are having trouble climaxing to monitor MRI scans of their own brains so they can create an orgasm.
