Women send men crashing in the league of safe drivers

yeh right and mens head on accidents are caused by serving to avoid mad women drivers sverving to avoid rear end shunts.

In the long-running debate over who make better drivers, women or men, it looks like the females have just scraped ahead.
That is, they are more likely to have minor bumps than males, research has shown.
Female motorists tend to put in more claims for collisions on roundabouts and hitting cars from behind.

Safer drivers: Female motorists tend to put in more claims for collisions on roundabouts and hitting cars from behind while men are more prone to head-on collisions

However, men are more prone to head-on collisions, hitting crash barriers and trees, or driving up and down embankments.
They were also more likely to drive through floods or suffer a vehicle fire, according to the study of more than two million accidents over five years.
Women suffered more than men from having their car broken into and having items taken, while men were more likely to have their car stolen outright, the research by insurance company Diamond found.
Diamond's managing director Sian Lewis said: 'Women tend to be in more accidents at slower speeds, where cars are close together, while men have more high-speed accidents where it is easy to lose control.
'Our research suggests the way men and women drive is different.
'Possibly men drive faster and more aggressively than women, while women are more easily distracted than men behind the wheel of car.'

an insurance company that specialises in insuring woman drivers.
does a survey and finds women drivers are safer than men..

mmm sounds a bit fishy to me....

A survey in an Irish paper today says that 47% of accidents happen with black cars. Henry Ford said of his own cars `You can have any colour you like so long as it is black` Geez, in that case it must have been like the dodgems back then.

I can believe this to be true. I guess men don't bother about their privacy being invaded but only their cds being stolen

So, where concentration is needed most in every day driving....women can't cope & cause accidents.

Only 2 million accidents in 5 years??? Did someone cherry pick the data used?

I'm not so sure about mens cars catching fire more. Some years ago I happened to notice the car in front of me was losing a shit load of petrol. We are talking a broken return pipe here, it was very noticable. I tried flashing the driver (NO Meaty, not that type of flashing) but 'she' either didn't see me or just ignored my frantic jestures.
I ended up getting out of my car at the next red light & knocking on her window. She looked like I was gonna car-jack her. Ended up just shouting through the window "There's petrol pouring out the back of your car".
                    Yep. She just drove off.

For a breif second I had to fight the urge to light the petrol trail. Would of been so funny watching her try to out acceletate it...that's if she even saw it in her rear view mirror.

What these surveys tend to do is assume that "safer" = "better". From everyone's experience men are more skilled drivers. How many women do you see driving HGVs which are bloody difficult to drive? I can remember 2in my lifetime, it may have been more but then work this out as a percentage with the number of men.

Women might be "safer" according to their "statistics", but men are better. I would even go as far to say that most men are probably safer too, but the figures are skewed by all the nobheads you get thinkin they're Damon Hill, and there are far more male nobheads about than female.
