bottom line is

We believe in the 10 commandments
We believe Jesus PBUH WILL return
We are taught not to offend any1, repect evry1

One of the two worst things to argue about Religion (the other being politics) in my opinion. Live and let live I say but I have to agree with barrowman on 1 point - integration. Its not all but like most things it's the few spoiling it for the majority. One thing I always think about, could you/I go to say Pakistan or Dubai or wherever and start knocking a few churches or synagogues up and saying I think my wife should be able to wear a bikini when shopping (perish the thought) and show a bit of flesh off? The answer is no and and the punishment would be swift, I just think sometimes we are just too British and as a result get trampled.

Hope this thread doesn't get out of hand as I'm interested in everyone's thoughts regardless of colour or creed.

just to re-cap my point
i do not believe in any god at all
i believe that no religion preaches hatred of each other
i believe all religeons preach tolerance ,kindness ,fairness and loving of all
i know because i have a few muslim friends that not all muslims are sandal wearing bomb makers who want to blow me or my loved ones up
i also believe that if all immigrants left this fine island our economy and more would/could not cope at all and our health service would disintigrate

that aside
if you come here to live in a predominately christian society do not try to change it(not saying all do only the well publisised few)
as in some cases it Has happened , do not let the hate preachers get a platform and caste them out from what ever religion they come from
as for the burka which this thread started out as ,i DO find it offensive as all religions are about how you live your life and the good / help you give to others on your short journey called life and not about making statements.

Now I can't see how that is teaching respect to others whatsoever.

I can understand how many Muslims may not associate themselves with this thinking, but Islam is certainly NOT tolerant of others.

Don't forget Lloyds TSB sharia Law accounts available to all to get the best deal from a bank. Why should I need to have an account based around a law I do not fall under to get a preferential deal from a High St bank in a non muslim country.
