You dont see any Brits burning german litterature (although its about the only useful thing to be done with Mein Kampf tbh) or flags on 11/11.

Burning a quran wont honour anyone who died on the day, its only designed to incite hatred.

And then theres the firemen who dealt with the fires and cleanup losing scores of comrades, the last thing they need on the day is a call out to put out a mountain of books at a hate gathering.

All the threats of violence against this act flies in the face of that statement does it not? Its disgustingly hypocritical!

Anger is one thing, but all these threats, harassment and violence from Islam is more than an expression of being offended, it's rage at infidels, who they feel their religion tells them to dominate. Their desire to engage in Jihad over Koran-burning is from the heart of their contempt and hatred for infidels, not their sorrow over the burned books.

This is the act of one man and not representative of the West as a whole yet there are now calls for a worldwide jihad against western society.

Its America and if the pastor believes that Islam is of the devil, and plans his action based on that, how is it even legal for the FBI,State Department and Obama himself to be visiting him and denouncing him?

Why does the offense taken by muslims to burning a Quran matter, but the offense felt by 9/11 families about a mosque at ground zero doesn't matter?

Building the mosque is legal and protected by the constitution. Isn't burning a Quran legal and protected by the constitution too? Yet Obama defends one and opposes the other!

Their political leaders are basically telling them that their political freedoms and free speech rights take a back seat to Islamic sentiment.

Christianity being a home problem though doesnt garner nearly as much media support as foreign devil Muslims because the powers that be would actualy have to be seen to be doing something thats more easily verifyable than sending boys abroad to serve their country.

Its political suicide to attempt to solve any home issues as they're oh so much harder to spin when things go south.
