British troops investigated for heroin smuggling

Military police are investigating claims that British soldiers may have trafficked heroin from Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Defence said they were aware of "unsubstantiated" claims that troops were using military aircraft to ship the drug out of the country.

The inquiry is focusing on British and Canadian service personnel at airports in Camp Bastion and Kandahar.

Security has been tightened, with additional sniffer dogs being used as part of the crackdown at the bases.

An MoD Spokeswoman said: "We are aware of these allegations. Although they are unsubstantiated, we take any such reports very seriously and we have already tightened our existing procedures both in Afghanistan and in the UK, including through increasing the use of trained sniffer dogs.

"We regret any inconvenience this causes to our service personnel. Any of our people found to be engaged in trafficking of illegal narcotics will feel the full weight of the law."

Afghanistan is the source of 90% of the world's opium.

I dont actually belive our troops would do this.....

Thats like 4 kilo of golden brown (street value per kilogram of heroin is ?3250 in Kabul)

That still leaves you change to buy up a stack of:
citric acid (to aid breakdown in a soloution and prevent clotting in the bloodstream)
artificial sweetner (cheap padding soloution)
paracetamol (Padding with a little bit of a gouchy pop great for synergising the mix)
milk formula (cheaper padding that acts as a binding agent, needs more citrite to combat vein cheese)
fentanyl (cheap morphine substitute thats insanely powerful, a little of this will make your product pop out above the other dealers gear, gives a false sense of purity)
packaging like shrink wrap, ky jelly and petrol to wash the wraps to avoid sniffers is neglidgable.

Suddenly instead of 4 kilos of pure you now have 8 kilos of high grade smack to punt at an average of ?65,000 per kilo.

Net revinue : ?520,000
Profit: ?506,000...
You could up the stakes and sell it per kilo making yourself 30k or so more but you risk a bust thats not there with a bulk deal.

Not bad for a years IED patrol, almost enough to make the job worthwhile.

You'll also keep the dealers happy because they can convert your 8k of product in to 10~12k of low grade for the punters.

Personaly i think any kid who spends his life wandering the streets of Sangin looking for shit that goes bang all the while avoiding opportunistic sniper rounds deserves way more than half a million a year for doing so.
If this is the only way he can make more a year than an average politician spends on "expenses" so be it.
