the guards are useless at doing riot drills if the country does start rioting properly there will be a lot of them getting injured if i was them id start practising

T`was the gardai that provoked the situation.
Firstly the mounted ones and then (even though at the time)when the protest was still managable- the riot squad turns up.
Sure, the protesters were infiltrated by shinners but the law were provocative .
