wikki leaks right or wrong ? your thoughts

just having a look at wikki . and trying to find what would be considered to be a bad idea for national security here ?

whats the oppinions of you guys ?

is it inapropriate or a last grasp at covering up by the goverments involved ?

    whistleblower or traitors ?

    what ya think ?

I agree with dc,the revelations could cause some serious shit, for the want of a better phrase

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Millions of US military personnel had access to this information before it was leaked.

Making it available to a wider public is of no danger to anyone.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

Definitely right thing to do !!!!!!

You can't say one thing and do another and then cry when it all comes out. We all know it goes on, but lets be honest, if they didn't want it to come out, it should of been locked away more secure.

We have fought for freedom of speech not to lock things away. If you dont want it to come out, dont say it!

i agree with racin-snake and dctyper its completely wrong it put people life's at high risk and maybe on the line.meanwhile countries diplomatic tolerances and have had impact changes to each other. what if more get leaked which i hope none ever do. there are reasons for the security of secure commications which should be maintained.

i am not arguing an either or .as i really only skimmed the surface of the documents so far .
so neither can i confirm or deny anything as a relation to security breached or otherwise
but i am asking for a real time look at what the implications are as far as you as independent people are thinking
and just to add i would hate to think that having or even this information open to the public is at all affecting the lives of any troops of any of the nations concerned
but during Vietnam the details of the conflict designations and rules of engagement were released to the opposite side
and it caused the war to be prolonged for a further time
just merely asking the opinions of the overall understanding and thoughts of the implications of this leak
as for sides i aint got a clue as the information aint been really looked into yet (by me)

but its good to se the opinions of yourselves to be fair and balanced its gonna take some reading

Dont think theres anything wrong with it to be honest. We the public should know what really goes on behind the scenes anyway. After all it is the goverment who like to hide things and control the media. Just shows us how much they control the media and what gets left behind for only certain people to know. We only get to hear about the good things we do not the bad.

Nothing is comprimised in a sense of security really.
Just uncovering the dark secrets that we get lied too about.
If only this website was avaliable back when the twin towers were turned to rubble.

anyone who agrees with it is a fool and obviously doesnt care what will happen because of it.

it WILL cause death on this earth and it may happen to somone you know.

Of course not. They all intercept each other's emails.

It's naive to think that this stuff is going to affect anything. It's a good story for the media, and a good excuse for governments to huff and puff. Nothing more.

funnily enough a few people think the bottom line is that this is a contrived event ?
                            conspiracy jokes aside ...
i think it was meant to come out either to confirm the net as needing policed or to cause a bit of unrest in general a contrived leak as opposed to a genuinely honest intent to give the public anything
                            seems like a contender ?
but seems to be a split where if it causes loss of life both ways the guys with the stuff they want secret can be made to prioritise the secrecy?
just another thought ...but a possible scenario ?

the big problem about all this is going to be to the net as we know it .,, because he moved to a different sever to stop being closed down , this has opened the governments of the worlds eyes to this problem and l think they will all close ranks and change the laws on servers all over the world , ie freedom of the net will change
