He claims its contents will re-write history!!!

There are quite a few links if anyone fancies having a go at it.

I think there is more to all this Wikileaks stuff and something doesn't seem right about it all.

Big bad USA can't close down single website that is shown to be a threat to national security? I don't buy it.

Isn't it strange that Julian Assange calls for Hillary Clinton to resign and a few days later she says her work as U.S. secretary of state will be her final public position?

This is spreading fear far and wide. The problem is this 'fear' can be used as an excuse to push certain agendas.

Airports have already started and public transportation will be next. These leaks do more than just damage people involved - it puts fear into all who are working for, or connected to our governments, that they could also be exposed by the big bad persons behind the curtain. Its control of the masses on all levels being rolled out.
The Wikileaks fiasco could be used as a future excuse to filter the internet as well.

not confirming but a good look at the notion that these leaks are contrived events
ie forbidden yet in front of your eyes = human nature to look in that direction ?

seems all too contrived ...but still a few questions yet to be asked as to how and why these leaks were even possible

so far it has shown me that separation and so on produced by such leaks is contentious and divides the public in general
maybe exactly as it's meant to be ?

I am sorry, but this whole arresting and charges brought against him seems to me a step to far. It seems to me that this has been fabricated to take him out of the equation, and then of course to shut the site down.

A very worrying sign, and a trend of things to come.

If we take a step back from all of this (from our for and against) maybe/probably the whole affair is reverse psychology.
An example; You're 21 tomorrow, you thing no one knows/everyone's forgotten so you tell it to the blabbermouth and soon everyone knows.

The thing is the US cant touch him.

You can be brought up on charges if you have clearance to access classified information and you leak it.
He doesn't have clearance, so its in his constitutional right to publish whatever he wants.

They can attempt to get your sources but that's also protected by the constitution to protect journalists integrity and such.

As far as im aware he's not actually broken any US laws so they cant touch him.

As for UK laws, they're slightly different but generally along the same lines so he should be fine here too.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

but in all honesty wont stop there "machine" from digging and searching for anything to shut him up and maybe try to close the site

just might actually let them compromise a bit of our liberty as to the internet ect ?

just have to watch the thing unfurl

The wikki leaks website has broken US laws.
To be honest any government leak is called espionage he will be accountable sooner then later he is playing with fire he may be earning thousands of pounds now in my opinion I think guantanamo bay detention camp doors are about to close in him.

i think sometimes its good info but most of the time we have no need to know, it does not benefit us to know what happens behind certain closed doors. The world we live in has its secrets and keeping these secrets has kept us safe most of the time. The public at large has no idea how to interpret the information at hand to really say whether certain parts of the leaked information is a national security threat or damaging to diplomatic relations. We all have things to say that we would rather others did not know about, whether it be family or friends or employers. Tbh its best most people are kept in the dark and left to get on with their lives and not worry themselves about most of the dark world out there that exists beyond our daily lives.

I think the guy will get stitched up somehow, the warrant is for a crime he is only accused of so far, he has not proven guilty of the charges in sweden, thats for a jury to decide.. I am sure if the US had its way he would have been in a car accident by now or found himself so guilt ridden he decided to commit suicide. If he gets busted at some point for leaking secret documents then fine, he will get what is due. I believe he is going too far now and does not know where to draw the line. Many a reporter in the past has blown somebodies cover or ruined somebody's life for the sake or an exclusive story and bigging up their own career, nothing happens to them.

I think he knows he is a marked man now, whether he feels that it has been worth the price is for him to decide. He has his fame now, whether it is in the vein that he wanted i don't know, i know i would not like to be in his shoes. I should think his life/history is being picked apart as we speak and things in his past altered to his detriment to cast a shadow over his charactor. Such is the world that we live in.

hasnt there been some questions as to the legality of Guantanamo bay, maybe they should look into that before they take down wikileakdude.
at the end of the day if they break their own laws they shouldnt cry when someone else does.

                            wikileaks

i think wikileaks is not doing this for revenge but at the end of the day to show the truth to the public - therefore i agree!

Let?s not discus any more about Guantanamo bay detention camp but the law says when any country is engaged in the war there will be thousands of prisoners and you have to put them some were so the prisoners do not escape now the prisoners are free to go home but the countries are not accepting them because they are called the terrorist and now they are engaged in the rehabilitation in order to cool them down in order to release them into our society and I see nothing wrong.
