wow, i just got to see it. pretty bleak stuff. i wish i could say i was surprised but at this stage im not. the most frightening statistic was the innocents death %'s increasing through the past wars. i guess its easier to kill someone when they're not shooting back.Comment

As i see it now when the army want to launch an attack on a certain area,instead of strategically planning the operation and trying to limit the amount of casualtys they simply blow the whole ~~~~in area up civilians included,the same thing happened in palestine
They seem to be a law unto themselves and are free from any international law
The geneva convention smacks of double standards,its used when it suits the west and ignored when it dosent
And its innocent people that suffer
And god help you if you try and highlight whats happening

You simply can't speak out about it in the US or UK. Even at a low level such as on a forum like DK, you can't speak out about what the armed forces are doing. If you do your told "If you don't like it here go elsewhere" or your referred to as "the anti war lot!" and made to feel that you are disrespectful of the country and the armed forces.
The media here and in the US have gone into propaganda over drive. All the arm forces are heroes don't you know and what sort of coverage is given on the news of a school or township being bombed by the US/UK western forces killing dozens of innocent civilians?? Not as much coverage as a soldier being killed. Now don't get me wrong all deaths in this and the last war are disgraceful - included deaths of the soldiers, but the UK & US (through the government and media) don't seem to want to recongnise that they and there armed forces have caused hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths.
The wars on Iraq and Afghanistan are/have been diplorable and I so hope that the ordinary people of the UK and the western world will see through the sh*te being peddled through the media.

its nice to know there are a few journalists left with integrity and compassion.
last year i had reason to see journalists in action up close and i have to say they are a nasty lot, doing anything to get their story and trying to putting a price on tragedy. never again gonna read a newspaper and take it at face value.Comment
