just an update - in my mums area there have been 5 weeks identified as cold weather weeks so she will get ?125 extra so its def worth while to check.

again if your unsure if you qualify just pm me. there are lots of changes to the benefit system that are coming up in the next few months so if you havent applied for something apply NOW.

please note cold weather payments are NOT the same as the winter fuel allowance which is only paid to those over 60. CWP are paid to any age on an income based benefit.

wtc and ctc are not qualifiying benefits you need to be on an income based benefit ie

income based esa
income based jsa
pension credit
income support top up to incapacity benefit
income support

With Con/Lib on board it want be long they will be cutting on cold weather payments I would imagine.
