I think it's pretty obvious that a lot of immigration has been good for the Country but at the same time it has also been detrimental. The thing is, it's our own fault that we've allowed it to be detrimental. We're the fools that vote the Politicians in and allow them to make the rules in the first place. we've allowed them to bring their own rules, religions and cultural differences.
Take jobs, if our " Indiginous ;-) " wasters stuck in at school or were bothered to get off their ar"e and benefits there wouldn't be the jobs there in the first place for the majority of immigrants.
We've taken some of the best brains from poorer countries to top up our skill force and left some Countries seriously short. Making it more difficult for their own Country to improve. Survival instincts kick in and human nature says " I'll have some of that" They then head to our shores for a better life. Again nothing wrong with that. I'd do the same.
I believe there's got to be more stick and carrot but no doubt it's too late. By all means we should help out those worse off than us but it must be on our conditions. Move to a Country and learn the language. Live by our Religion or be an Athiest. Swear loyalty to our Country (Not the Queen). Obey the rules or be deported even if your life is in danger. There's nothing like that to convince you to be law abiding.
At the same time we've got to hammer our own scum. If someone from our own Country doesn't follow the rules I'm sure there's plenty of third World Countries that would love to have them in their prisons if the Tax Payer footed the bills. Certanly cheaper than putting them up in one of our Prison Holiday Homes. I think two months sleeping on a stone floor eating scraps and getting regular internals would make them toe the line.
In short we need to sort out our own wasters before we increase immigration. Immigration just allows our scum to hide in the shadows and let others take the blame for how our Country is.
