    EU ALLOWS MIGRANTS TO GET FULL BENEFITS

    BRITAIN is being forced to let eastern European immigrants claim full benefits under an EU ruling.

    Restrictions which stopped foreign workers receiving handouts straight away will be lifted in May.

    Britain insisted on the ban in 2004 when we opened our borders to eight former Soviet bloc countries.

    Strict rules meant they had to work here for a year before they were eligible for payouts.

    But Brussels says the UK must scrap the restriction, which will leave about 100,000 migrants free to start raking in Jobseekers? Allowance, council tax and housing benefits worth up to ?250 a week.

    There are fears so-called ?benefit tourists?, many of them gypsies from poorer nations, will flock here to cash in.

    MEP Nigel Farage of the UK Independence Party said: ?I?m absolutely furious. It?s about time this Government stood up for taxpayers rather than giving in to Brussels all the time.?

    The rules mean immigrants will no longer have to join the Working Registration Scheme.

    The Department for Work and Pensions said: ?We have to remain in line with our national and international obligations.?

    Immigration Minister Damian Green said the May changeover means more migrants could head for Germany and Austria as they relax their rules too.

    Eh? ?250 a week, how do they claim that?

    Last year I lost my job after my company went bust, I was with them for 27 years. Sent home without notice on the day they folded.

    I got about ?70 a week on benifits for a month till I got a new job ffs.

    ~~~~in state did sod all for me, despite paying in to them since I left school, the droids at the dole office talked to me like I was a scum bag.
    If I didn't have elderly relatives, I would have done the opposite and ~~~~ed off out of the UK to offered jobs abroad with a far better wage and standard of living.
      OFF TOPIC:-
      Here in Meat-City used to be a factory that made ashtrays for motorbikes, the company had like 5,000 staff, most had workered there since skool.
      They went bust, the receivers were taking NI off the workers, but failed to hand to the goverment.
      A lot of the workers managed to get jobs at another motorcycle ashtray company the otherside of town.
      For some unkown reason, they had to lay a few staff off, this is when they found out
      that their last companyes receivers had held the money, they were then told by DSS whatever "you haven't paid enough money for dole, ~~~~ off" - but most had been paying NI with last company for like 100 years.
      Meat.
              I think its getting interested and I thought I will join in as my anger about I didn?t pay enough contributions is the eye of the subject and I will make it short story, when I was self employed for 4 years few years back I used to post my NI contributions to DHSS first class and due to demolition of the units I had to pack up my business and Was looking for another units therefore I thought I will go and claim the dole money for few weeks but I was for a surprise when the dole office told me I haven?t paid my NI contributions for 4 years therefore we can not pay you dole money, despite paying in to them every month by post. I asked them if they have got any work for me so I had to fill few forms and went home, I was banging my head on the table because there was no other way of getting the money in, any way my relative came to rescue me with some cash and after few weeks I found a new unit.
              Now this is very interesting every 3 months the DHSS started asking me to pay ?6,000 NI contribution which they told me I have not paid, I kept ignoring them and after two years of reminders, I got a letter from DHSS telling me that they have found my NI contribution fully paid stamps and they apologise that there was an address arrear, but it?s the suffering that had caused me and my family at the time, the system is there when you need help but the way it is running is not acceptable.
              You could work in UK for 40 years and when you go for dole money they think we are the fraudsters and ~~~~** foreigners coming in this country they will get the dole on the 1st day in UK with housing benefit ~~~~** shite mate if you ask me.
                  I'm so glad that we've got a European Court / EU. When I first heard in 2004 that migrants to the UK where to be denied full benefis.... I thought it was completely wrong.
                  The reason being... seeing that the UK is a member of the EU, citizens from other member states have the right to live in the UK, they should be treated in the same way as citizens in the UK. I'd like to think that if I chose to live in another EU country, I'd be treated in the same way as citizens of that country.
                  There's a lot of wrongs with the way that our benefits system works in the UK, but surely the EU ruling is correct.
                  I'm surprised that our government has got away with this clear abuse of fellow EU citizens for so long.....
                    not paying NI conts actually happened to me and i was working for a government department!! when i left in dec 2007 i claimed benefit for the first time in my life to be told not enought NI conts. i said wtf ive worked full time all my bloody life.
                    it was eventually sorted out but i wrote to the national insurance office and asked for a full print out of all my national insurance conts since i started work. i did get it through the post a few months later and this is something anyone can do.
                    for benefits purposes you only get conts only benefit for 26 weeks then its income based and if your partner works more than 24 hrs a week you get no money only your NI conts paid for you.
                      So how come an immigrant can get benefit from their first day here, when they have not made a single NI contribution, and an English person who has NI fully paid up has to jump through hoops to get ?70 a week.
                            this can take yrs to sort out and during that time they cannot work or get benefit.
                            in my opinion NOONE shoud get british citizenship untill they can speak the language.
