When I was on a YTS many years ago, I used to go into Greggs at lunchtime and buy a French loaf and two bridies Bridie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I'd rip out the soft white bread from the stick and stuff the Bridies into it and eat that .



I'm hungry now.

Used to do that as well Witchy , but there was 4 of us , and we used to buy a half pound of butter from the shop next door and spread that in to the hollowed out roll , before we put the chips ( brides ) in , ( drool ! )

Here's a real sarnie.

Butter 2 pieces of bread.
Slap another piece of bread between the 2 buttered pieces.
Voila!
I call it bready bread.

butter one slice of bread with butter and place on plate now place the 2 slices of corned beef onto buttered bread
put desired amount of HP brown sauce over corned beef
butter other slice of bread and place buttered slice down on top of HP sauce
cut diagonally
your snack fit for king and queen is now ready for consumption
enjoy......

Mmmmm corned beef and hp, one of my all time favourites!! Along with fish finger sandwich or chip butty
