I actually quite like Rooney, but I think the FA have been strong in taking this action. The only thing is they have set a president here, so they should take the same action if others do it, from other clubs. I think Rooney (and poss' Man U) have maybe been made an example of.

TBH I think its a joke that he got a ban.
The UK game is fastly becoming a nanny sport. Cant do nothing. Guy gets caught up in the moment and gets a 2 match ban ? WTF

UTD fans need to remember MAN CITY 3-3 with 4 added minutes that turned into 8 added minutes which UTD scored... Were was fairness there.....
Then Rio.... Rio fails DRUGS testing given a ban then rewarded with the captains armband for his country.... Rooney.... held Everton to ransom coz he wanted to join a bigger team..... Prestons to good for him....

For years now UTD and ferguson have cheated... They moan when decisions go against them. You say there buys..... who you tell me.... Oh yea OWEN,BERBATOV,HARGREAVES..... i think you mean for the sake of the premiership the fa needs to throw everything at utd to keep it a half decent league.
without the decisions at chelsea on there own the title would be over now and that wouldnt be fair on anyone now would it?
so you might as well ban fergy for telling the truth and rooney for swearing and next maybe nani for wearing odd socks. at the end of the day non of this will alter were the titles going
but it might stop the prem becoming like the spl but with only one team capable of winning it instead of two.

Ye maybe he does shout his mouth up yet it's always for the right reasons for example the chelsea game when he shouted his mouth off against the ref he was correct all the way through it david luiz should have been sent off at least twice that game.. and the ref's moan about the critasism that they get.. i have no problems with ref's but when they make stupid decisions like that they need to be put in place

I like attractive and fair football. If I was a glory hunter I would support teams like them but I like fair football.. When UTD, ARSENAL,CHELSEA are losing or drawing there seems to be loads of time added on which has cost teams to fail.... thats all i am saying mate....
In my opinion and only my opinion The bigger teams get FA and referee cotton wool to be wrapped up in.... Now if that was for Example Wigan or you team they will show more leancy towards bigger teams... just my opinion mateComment
