what about his elbowing, what about his swearing constantly at refs, what about the way hes treated his wife. The boy rooney hes a scumbag, and a very well overpaid one too.

yes, we may have fallen further this season, but not as far as you lot fell in the 70's!!! remember????

I am grown up pal, but yours is an easy response when you dont have an answer to your reasonable question,
you are the one who came out with a ludicrous statement,
a mate of mine lost his temper (verbally) with management at work, and subsequently got sacked for aggressive behaviour,
so why is it ok for overpaid prima donnas to become "angry", and get away with it.

How is this relevant to Rooney getting banned ffs, your mate got the sack because of aggressive behaviour towards management.
Rooney got banned for using bad language on a football pitch that was picked up by Tv cameras!!!
Jeez if your gonna make comparisons at least try and balance it a little better.
The trouble with a lot of the posts on this thread is that members are not being impartial towards Rooney because he such a dick-head and people hate him.
Would you feel the same if it was one of your club players that got banned? I certainly would!!
Because the loser here in my opinion is Football,
The Fa now seem to be making up the rules as they go along, whats their objective here? do they want playstation players or maybe subbuteo players!!
How many of them played football at the level Rooney now plays at??
I can think of only one, the one that springs to mind is Trevor Brooking, feel free to correct me.

The FA should be gripping this at the start of a season not with minutes of it left.. Dodgy ground to start banning players now, so anyone that swore previously was ok..?

If they don't want players to swear they could end it in one weekend..

Red Card for offensive, insulting or abusive language (as per the laws of the game) for each player guilty over one weekend would stamp it out..

Trouble is they don't punish it.. Then the FA wonder why they have a problem with 'respect' at grassroots level when they allow the top level to consistently break the laws and fail to punish referees who turn a blind eye..

Mic up the refs and let the public see exactly what all players say in the professional game and it would also curb the problem..

Rooney isn't alone but it's pretty funny to see him get smashed by the FA the jug eared coont

TV cameras pick up players swearing and being abusive all the time,
It could have been almost any player, they all swear.. constantly.. in every game.. at every level..
Why now all of a sudden is it a banning offence??

Its not the FA that have ultimately decided this. They've had to act because the referee Lee mason after watching the video told the FA, that if he were to have heard him swear at the camera he would of shown him the red card.
Bit of justice here to be honest because he should of been sent off and banned when he elbowed James Mccarthy at Wigan and Clattenberg bottled it.

For the record I don't believe that swearing at the camera deserves a ban .
