Fair enough m8... we're going around in circles here.
Maybe i haven't accounted for how sensitive you guys are, and the football watching population in general.

Some people seem to think that swearing on a football pitch is alright because its done everyday on the football pitch, others seem to think two footed tackles are alright because some one from another team done it a couple of weeks before and got away with it. Others think its ok to elbow some one in the face along as the ref doesn?t see it. I think none of the above is right and think the time as come for the FA to get a grip next year and have a massive shake up of the rules with regards to the interpretation of the rules. The rules should be hard and fast and not left to a referee to decide which way he wants to interpret it.
All of the above should be a straight red, even for swearing and regardless of whether or not the ref heard him say it but didn?t see him. The fault lies firmly with the FA they are the parents and need to start chastising their little brats properly. Sorry rant over.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

oh, btw, have a re-read of your post that i replied to... about a "one horse race"????
why would you have rolled over for blackburn a few years back? we were no were near beating your holy grail of a record back then just shows how much it actually means to liverpool fans just a pity your not in a position to do anything about it
if rooney gaets ban for swearing pool should of had season ban for throwing a match like youwould in most other sports i wonder if it was looked into how many liverpool players had a bet on chelsea that day
@boomer i had a re read of the one horse race post that you replied to and think the question you mean is who won the league last year? if this is correct the answer is chelsea won the league last year with help from the fa and yourselves!!!! and if the fa get there way this year arsenal will win the prem or at least it will go to the last game. for this to happen the proper thing to do would ban nani.valencia, giggs, scholes ,vdersar and rooney for the rest of the season and evra and rio for next season to because they eat cornflakes for breakfast.

I would like to add that this has been part of the game since the game started it happens in sunday league football right up to PL it doesnt matter how much people get paid to play the game it won't stop happening, United do get a raw deal and do get made an example of but when you look on the bright side still have chance to do the treble will have won more titles than any other PL team so all i can say is throw the book at us cos the more you throw at us the more we win COME ON UNITED

true and this is the reason he got his ban not for swearing on the pitch for swearing at people at home

players swear all the time you can lip read it in every game IMO there was no need for rooney to do what he did what he did was different and thats why i think he deserves a ban

Thats a very fair post and i agree with it, but changing or making example of someone at the end of a season is wrong, they should bring in hard and fast rules in at the beginging of next season and stick by them, also any ref who dosent enforce them should all so get punished, Rooney knows he did wrong and so do all the united fans weather he gets a two match ban or not or weather it get serspended for 12 month dosent really matter now, the rules need to start at the start of next season......

Ok this game we threw against Blackburn, can you tell me when it was ? Now i remember in 95 we played Blackburn at home and Utd were away to West ham, IIRC Utd only needed a win to claim the title.

Utd failed to win and we beat Blackburn 2-1 which meant Blackburn won the league. So it's obviously not that game your talking about, so enlighten me as to the game your referring to.

                  The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

i think he said you didnt need to throw the 1995 one because you were well ahead in titles you threw last years against chelsea so we didnt get 19 which is the point i think he was trying to make

going back to 1995 i think we needed a win and you lot to draw or win blackburn from what i remember andy cole missed a bagfull

funny game football i have no doubt in my mind and i dont think anyone would argue with me if cantona never jumped on that bloke at palace and got banned we would have won 1995 no problem which would have also gave us a full house of 5 titles in a row

but he didnt and we never but the theory works for sure

Firstly I said in my post that the fa need to get a grip next year. Too many times this year players have gone in two footed and have got away with it, so when another player does it and gets a booking other supporters feel aggrieved. That I understand. So yes it?s too late on in the season to do much about it now. But what Rooney did when he celebrated then stared into the camera for what seemed to be a good while before launching into tirade beggars belief. if some one else had done the same thing this season and got away with it I would be agreeing with you, but I cant for the life of me remember anyone else doing it this year or for that matter any other year. So I think he?s getting his just deserts. I now read he said it because he was provoked by the other supports. Seems to me he is just totally unprofessional.

i need to pay more attention or get my eyes tested Does anyone seriously believe Liverpool or any other club would throw a game to stop their rivals winning a title. Lets face it, it means more to the fans these days than 99% of these ~~~~in hollywood footballers who couldn't give a shite as long as they've got their big fat pay packets.

Whatever. We lost the league on Goal difference to Arsenal in 89 which costs us the double, and gave them a standing ovation at the end of the game. We were disgraced by both Blackpool and Northampton at home this season and clapped them both off the pitch, but your right theres not many fans as fair minded as us.
If you want "real" take a trip to Liverpool 4 and call in and have a look at our very own European cup. Take your time, no rush, it'll be there there forever. If you do get number 19 this season which is looking highly likely you will have deserved it and it will be down to the games you have wone and lost and not what others do. When you grow up you may understand what i'm saying. If however on the other hand you do not win it i will like never before
