why which other elite european teams really stood out this season? none wasn't impressed with any not even real madrid, i would back man u,chelsea or arsenal to beat any other so called top euro team,after all the outcome of the champs final proved that barca are in a league of their own as far as football is concerned.

if you really would back them then you'd end up skint,which big teams did the english knock out? schalke,chelsea,copenhagen as soon as they met a strong team they were beaten i'm sure madrid would have beaten all the other english not just spurs but thats just my opininion and i prefer to put my money on the rest of europe.

and thats my point the english teams have been not been as good over these LAST 2 seasons compared to the period you have pointed out from 05-09.

The EPL is still very strong. Thought Man Utd progressed through to the final with ease. They came up against a side that were quite simply on a different planet. No shame as this team is better than any English team in my lifetime and possibly any other league for that matter. I am just too young to compare them to the great Real Madrid sides but its different eras so difficult to compare anyway.

For the loons on Talksport to suggest this team would not win the EPL is ludicrous and shows them up as parochial. They wouldn`t win every game as even they have off days but they would win the league comfortably.
