I think he was right to do that and more managers should shame there players in the same way if there have put in a pathetic performance !

lfc4life i think he was wrong it looked like school kids being told off
by their teacher he should have done it in dressing room
could you imagine one off top managers doing that i don't think so
but we all have our own opinions m8 thats why were on this site.
good luck to the pool m8 think you might need it with utd getting
the smell of success yet again

i think phil made a great decision to do that. he explained after the game why he did it. He said that these guys get payed 30-40k a week to wear that shirt, the fans have come to watch them on a cold boxing day and he wanted to show the fans that they worth every penny, even if they did loose. he didnt want to ruin anybodies christmas.

He did it for his own ego in my opinion.
i'm a Sunderland fan (from South shields - Phils town) and I'm honestly glad he wasn't approached for our vacancy.

                  phil brown true passion

phil brown at least gave us a glimpse of what should be going on in the dressing room when players are not doing their jobs on the feild...... untill then i like the majority of supporters had visions of managers tip toeiing as if on egg shells..... around their over paid prima donna celebrity players behind closed doors

                  hooray! for phil brown
if they would just let the cameras in the dressing at half time then i am sure a lot of managers would be able to save their jobs
