I was rubbing yesterdays result it into my father-in-law, true bluenose, season ticket holder etc, when he reminded me of the New Years game a few years ago. I had just arrived and the game had kicked off a few minutes before I entered the house, after the initial greetings my immediate question was 'what's the score?', expecting the in-laws to reply 'nil-nil' I was dumbfounded when they replied 2 -0 to Rangers! The game had only kicked off about 5 minutes before,

I can't remember the final score but on paper it didn't look too bad for Celtic as they managed to claw back a few goals but we got thoroughly humped.

                          Can anyone remember he game?

It was New Years day sometime in the 90's.

i cant remember m8,as the new year fixture old firm game got stopped for about 10 years ,and the last one i can recall was at celtic park and celtic beat rangers 2-0 with burley and lambert scoring,so it may well have been 96-97 season,so your probably right, but it must have been the early 90,s
